Kicking off 2011 like a black belt ninja, we are launching our brand new ‘In The Mix’ series. Its pretty simple: we hand over proceedings to our favourite DJs and producers with the brief of creating an hour long (ish) mix of whatever takes their fancy. 001 comes courtesy of DJ & promoter Plax who is one of the brains behind the stellar ‘Give Them’ club night at the Bodega Social up in Nottingham.

Over the past 12 months they’ve had the likes of Drop The Lime, Mosca, Jam City & Harvard Bass down to tear the place up and for the next party they are taking things old school with DJ Luck & MC Neat bringing some party garage vibes. 

“The mix was recorded in my bedroom on cdjs using Serato Scratch apart from The Alps remix which is off the 12inch so was mixed in from a 1210. The general idea was to have a mixed bag of producers i’m feeling at the moment, mixed with an order and progression to it.”
