My top tip for this weekend is most definitely the Planet Mu Night this Friday at XOYO in Shoreditch.

Easily one of the finest electronic music labels around, Planet Mu have programmed a fantastic line up featuring headline sets from two of their most prolific artists, Machinedrum & Kuedo. Both artists will be performing live and Loose Synths readers will recognise them each for regularly frequenting these pages, normally with words such as ‘brilliant’ and ‘amazing’ attached. My tendency for hyperbole aside, the past 12 months have seen them both release some incredibly good music and in Machinedrum’s ‘Room(s)’ my favourite album of 2011. Support comes from The Host, Rudi Zygadlo and Tropics. Expect this to be good.
